Ingredients
Olive oil
1Tbs butter
2 C- wild rice
2 Tbs- chicken bouillon or two cubes
½ C- onion
3 Tbs- minced garlic
1 ½ C- chopped cremini
1 tsp - dry oregano
1 tsp- dry basil
¼ C- fresh herbs, mix it up! Basil, Chive, Parsley, Chervil.

Method
- In the rice cooker or sauce pot cook off the wild rice.
- In the large sate pan, begin cooking the rest of the vegetables, starting with the mushrooms.
- When the mushrooms have reduced in volume by half, add the onions garlic and dry herbs lightly caramelize, blooming the herbs as you go.
- Once the rice is almost cooked, transfer it to the sauté pan and mix everything together. If needed add a touch of water and the butter.
- Simmer until rice is tender and enjoy with most any protein, in this case, pike.
