Apple Pecan Chutney

Ingredients

  • 3 apples- 1 tart, I like to mix and match. (small dice) 

  • ½ Lbs.- unsalted butter 

  • 3 Tbs- dark brown sugar  

  • ½ C- chopped pecans  

  • 2 tsp.- kosher salt  

  • 2 tsp- molasses  

  • Tools
  • Knife  

  • Cutting board  

  • Large Sauté Pan 

  • Measuring Utensils 

Method

  • In a large skillet, heat butter and sugar until they become liquified and add the pecan pieces.
  • Gently toast the pecan pieces until almost candied then add in the apples, salt, and molasses.
  • Allow to simmer and meld.
