Braised Leeks

Ingredients

  • 4- Large leeks (cut in half length-wise) 

  • ½ Lbs/2 sticks - unsalted butter

  • 1 C- white whine 

  • 2 Tbs- kosher salt 

Method

  • Place leeks in a medium hotel or cake pan. Add wine butter and salt cover tightly with foil.  
  • Place pan in a 375–degree oven for 25-35 minutes or until wine has mostly evaporated and leeks have begun caramelizing.
  • Allow to cool and cut into servable pieces to be added to the apple pecan chutney.
